For more than 30 years, Lanson B. Jones & Co. has designed, built, and maintained refined gardens for Houston’s distinguished homes and properties. Rooted in landscape architecture, art history, and the tradition of the European scaled garden, our work is shaped by proportion, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the relationship between home and garden. We believe a garden should do more than surround a residence. It should complete it.

Lanson B. Jones
CEO & Founder
A native Houstonian, Lanson B. Jones earned his degree in landscape architecture from Texas A&M University and has spent more than 40 years shaping gardens with artistry, discipline, and architectural intention. Before founding Lanson B. Jones & Co. in 1994, he served as Vice President of Design at McDugald Steele, where he oversaw more than 50 award-winning projects.
Today, Lanson is a John Staub Award-winning landscape architect known for his artful eye, deep design experience, and European Scaled Garden philosophy. His work focuses on creating refined landscapes for distinguished Houston properties, with gardens that feel timeless, personal, and beautifully connected to the home.
